Mad Catz today revealed the latest product to join its growing catalog, the R.A.T. DWS wireless gaming mouse. Unfortunately, pricing details were not announced, the release date is set to be in “early February 2021.” The first thing that came to mind with the shape was that it was a bit similar to the Logitech G902.
The futuristic-looking mouse will include a 2ms DAKOTA mechanical switch, a 16K sensor, and have plenty of ways to customize. The mouse has a adjustable palm rest and swappable pinkie rest so it can accommodate more grip styles and hand sizes.
R.A.T. DWS will be the first wireless mouse to include the new Mad Catz DAKOTA mechanical switch. This technology will supposedly allow an “instant response” to be triggered 60% faster than other mechanical switches.
As is standard for most wireless products, the DWS will let you connect to your PC using 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 connections. Mad Catz said “the 2.4 GHz wireless mode allows you to get access to a rapid 1ms response, while the low-latency Bluetooth mode can sustain up to 300 hours with only a AA battery.” The 16,000 DPI sensor should offer a high degree of precise, regardless of your connection method.
